AmEx Vice President statement

Last week at the Money 20/20 Europe conference, AmEx Vice President Colin O’ Flaherty confirmed that his company will be using the xCurrent solution developed by Ripple to implement global transactions with high speed and greater transparency.

“Ripple offers instantaneous, point-to-point conversations between the sender and receiver of funds. And that provides a real opportunity to alleviate most of the issues our customers are facing,” said Flaherty at the conference.

Santander is already using xCurrent for its OnePayFX service, which allows customers to make international money transfers on the same or the next day.

Ripple (XRP) is now trading at $0.59 with a market capitalization of over $22 billion. xRapid which implies the use of XRP tokens have also got much attention at conference.  Many banks and financial institutions have already adopted XRP token.  MoneyGram tested the xRapid in January.
